Gherman Howell

As a Equity Portfolio Manager, Gherman works as a member of Evergreen Gavekal’s investment team. He ensures Evergreen Gavekal’s investment portfolios align with the Investment Committee’s economic outlook. On a day-to-day basis, he researches investment opportunities and reports on significant events in the world economy. 

Previously, Gherman worked for Citizens Financial Group as a member of their Central Model Development Group and their Balance Sheet Optimization team helping to create quantitative models and advise the executive team on the long-term strategy of the bank. 

Gherman graduated from Boston University with a bachelor’s degree in Pure and Applied Mathematics with an emphasis in accounting. He obtained both a Master’s in Business Administration and Master’s in Finance from Boston College, where he was inducted into the Beta Kappa Sigma Honors Society. During his time at Boston College, he was a Director of Invest ‘N Kids, an organization helping to connect local middle school students with professionals to provide educational support and mentorship. 

Outside of the office Gherman enjoys traveling, hiking, and cooking.
