Michelle Watson, CFA, CAIA, CFP®

Michelle Watson is the Executive Vice President of the Family Office at Evergreen Gavekal and is based in the firm’s San Francisco office. She joined the Evergreen Gavekal in 2017, leveraging over three decades of experience in the investment management industry.

Prior, Michelle served as Chief Investment Officer at First Republic Investment Management. In that role, she was responsible for shaping the firm’s investment strategy and overseeing its platform. She led the development of both internally managed equity and fixed income strategies, as well as an open-architecture platform featuring third-party managers. Michelle chaired multiple investment approval committees across traditional and alternative investments, in addition to leading the firm’s asset allocation committee.

Michelle earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA), Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designations. She is also an active mentor with SHE-CAN, supporting the next generation of women leaders.
