About Tyler

Tyler Hay joined Evergreen Gavekal in 2004 and has served as Chief Executive Officer since 2007. Under his leadership, the firm has garnered multiple accolades in the Wealth Management sector and expanded significantly, growing from managing $400M to over $7.5B in assets as of June 30, 2026. As CEO, Tyler oversees all aspects of the firm’s operations and strategic direction. He is a member of the Investment Committee and frequently writes insightful articles for Evergreen’s blog to provide insight into his economic outlook.

In anticipation of the future direction of investment management, Tyler played a key role in the development of the 5 divisions of Evergreen Gavekal. The expansion of the firm’s ability to provide comprehensive services for clients is a pillar of the firm’s growth and reflects his commitment to offering sophisticated solutions for our clients.

He spearheaded the acquisition of Sterling Kuder, which strategically positioned the firm to be able to provide tax services for their clients.

Additionally, as General Partner (GP) of Evergreen Ventures, he played a pivotal role in launching the firm’s alternative investment platform, overseeing the fund investments, portfolio management, and strategic direction.

A Seattle native, Tyler earned his MBA from Seattle University—where he was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma Honors Society—after completing his bachelor’s degree in finance at Boston University.
